Local former professional road cyclist turned coach, Michael Engleman runs the US Women’s Cycling Development Program out of Dolores, Colorado and often has his athletes base out of the small town to train and compete. Former FLC Cyclist Rebecca Much is one of his current athletes and she was down from Boulder to compete in last weekends Dolores cross race. Here is her story.

A new cycling fitness center is opening its doors in December. Durango DEVO will be working with the gym for the upcoming season. Chris Wherry and Jimmy Kight, 2 local superstars of cycling, are the brains behind the towns new cycling supercenter.
The fall 2009 JrDEVO season came to an end with a chilly mcnilly Halloween ride a couple or fridays ago.
This sunday is round 2 of the Fort Lewis Cycling Cyclocross series in Joe Rowell Park in Dolores, Colorado. Racing begins at 130 for the b men and women. Kids racing is being offered at 230 using a shortened version of the course and the a men and 40+ men go at 330pm. Check here for more information.

The trails have been tried and there is still a lot of snow on them! But the Halloween Ride is STILL ON! Meet at the same time, same place and we will shred the spooky bike path in search of CANDY and GOBLINS. The scary story is only for the strong and the brave so put your game face on. Wear a COSTUME and make it WARM!

Today’s All Girls Advanced Jr. DEVO ride has been cancelled due to tons of snow. We will have a make up practice next week same place. Have fun sledding!
