Our Ride with the Wells Brothers
“The last day of my break Rude and I rode with the Devo crew. Those kids rip and we hit the Stunt trail on the ride. They ride some crazy stuff so I had to too. They only weigh 70 lbs though so when they drop a bridge or jump some big gap with their seat up it’s no problem. When I do it on the Epic and land just a little off I burp tires. It was a blast riding with those guys though and I’m hoping they have a good showing at Nationals. I know if they raced straight up the mountain and came down on the DH course they would win for sure.” Todd Wells from twells.com

DEVO Rides the Iron Horse
This seasons’ Iron Horse Bicycle Classic participation by members of the Devo team has reached an all time high. Actually too many to count at the moment, but Durango’s junior cyclists have to be pumped. Devo u14er Devin Feilen and Avra Saslow are all set for the Quarter Horse to Durango Mountain Resort. Making the haul to Silverton are Kaylee Blevins, Alicia Rose Pastore, Howard Grotts, Stephan Davoust, Gino Pastore, Sepp Kuss, Levi Kurlander and Chris Blevins of the u19 team. The athletes have been out in force these past weekends getting to know the road ahead. Several will also be ready to race again on sunday for the crit and then of course, the Durango Cyclery Cruiser Crit, which will be raising cash for Bicycle Lemonade this year. Super fun. Good luck to all the junior athletes out on the roads this weekend!

Alien Run on Sunday
The 10th annual Alien Run will be tomorrow. Registration begins at 8am at the race track and the race begins at 10am. This is a rad lollypop loop race, filled with tight desert singletrack and oil rig road racing. The lollypop of the course being the Alien Run trail loop, which at the furthest point out on the course, makes for the best place to attack or be attacked. This small town race has kept it real and offers a cool tshirt and fun community meal after finishing. For more information.
