Monday, June 24th to Thursday, June 27th: Challenges*Corporate Commuter Challenge – Sign up your business in the Corporate Commuter Challenge to track your employee percentage participation and number of alternative transportation miles fromMonday to Thursday (if you believe your company is registered but have not received a tracking sheet, please contact us asap) Pedometer Challenge– Sign up for the Pedometer Challenge and track their miles on foot from Monday morning to Thursday noon. Transit Challenge– Transit riders can pick up a punch card in the Transit Center or from any driver, to track their transit rides fromMonday to Thursday
Tuesday, June 25th: A Bicycle Fashion Show sponsored by Velorution at the Community Forum at Carver’s Brewing Co. from5-7 pm (stop by all day at Velorution to see a wonderful collection of special and vintage bicycles)

Wednesday, June 26th: Bike To Work Day with Commuter Breakfast Stations in front of the Steaming Bean and at Mercy Regional Medical Center from 7-9 am

Thursday, June 27th: Pedal vs Metal Competition departing from Durango Cyclery at 4pm, followed by a Group Ride down the Animas River Trail led by City Council members and the City Manager to the 2nd Annual Love Your Commute Party at SKA (Awards Ceremony with music by Robby Overfield)
Free Transit Monday through Saturday sponsored by Mercy Medical Center and the Resource Smart Business Program
Before Thursday June 27th at noon: Nominate your favorite clean commuter as Commuter of the Year! Send us your nomination by email and tell us their commuting story and why you think they deserve to be Commuter of the Year.
*Be sure to email us your Pedometer and Corporate Challenge numbers through Thursday at noon and turn in your Transit counter cards, all by 1:00 pm

Progressive Trail in Horse Gulch

Trails 2000 has received approval to construct a new progressive trail off of Raider Ridge. In order to manage the work crews, the trailwork days and times will be by sign up only. Please sign up for the days and times that work best and that you will be able to commit to so we can plan accordingly. Please meet at the Horse Gulch Trailhead at the designated start times. Please come prepared with long pants, closed toe shoes, sunscreen, sunhat, cold waterbottles, lunch and a backpack. All waivers can be signed at the trailhead, except if you are under 18 we will need a parental signature on the waiver prior to trailwork,  (we can email it to you). When: Wednesday, June 5th; Time: 5:30-7:30 p.m., feel free to show up for an hour or three!
Where: Skyline Trail
Directions: Take Goeglein to Jenkins Ranch Road. Drive down Jenkins Ranch Road to the end of the pavement. The trailhead is located on the right. Please leave room for neighborhood cars to pass. Stop at the work truck to sign in & grab a tool!
What to wear/bring: Long pants/shirt, closed toe shoes, sunhat & waterbottle. Trails 2000 provides tools and instruction.
Our friends at Alpine Bank will provide food and cold drinks!
