Its Clean Commute Week Here in Durango

Thats perfect timing for Coaches Annie and Chad as they had to ditch their van outside of Bernillio late sunday night with a broken something-or-other. So now Annie is riding to and from class at FLC and Chad will be setting up for the Wednesday short tracks with just a back-pack, and they will ride, of course, to Thursday nights Devo Coaches Social at the Lions Den.

But really this week is all about getting on with life in a healthy clean way. Thats riding, walking, bussing to and from, along with carpooling to and from town or work. We live in a small town that is relatively flat and very accessible with its many bike paths and sweet neighborhood routes, so it is really not a big deal to be green and leave the car at home. We also have several transit staions or big parking lots where those out of city limiters could drive to park, unload the bike and do the city route on mans greatest invention. We have it so good here in Durango, lets stay strong and healthy.

Speaking of healthy, coaches Annie and Chad were in Dallas Texas over the weekend and there is not much there for commuting and staying healthy. They have busses and some public transit action, but really no way could you safely commute to and from in the big Texas city. Again, we are so lucky, lets take advantage of our opportunity!
