Hey Devo Riders and Families

The 2012 Durango Fall Blaze is coming up soon on Saturday September 29th and we are excited to make it the best Blaze ever. In case you don’t know, the Fall Blaze is a bicycle tour on the roads surrounding Durango with 37, 60 and 100 mile distances, a packet pickup party, 6 aid stations, ride support vehicles, post-ride meal with local brew, an event t-shirt and the best goody bag around. Best of all, it helps kids go to college as it is the sole fundraiser for the Tom Danielson Cycling Scholarship at Fort Lewis College which has been a primary factor in FLC Cycling winning many of its recent National Championships, both as a team and individual titles.
For more information check out the Blaze website at: http://www.durangofallblaze.com.
On-line registration is super easy just click and watch your reasonable $69 entry go straight to student athletes:
The Blaze is also always looking for volunteers to help out at packet pickup, aid stations, and support drivers – please contact Carolyn Hagen at hagen_c@fortlewis.edu and put “Fall Blaze Volunteer” in the subject line.
Lastly, the Blaze is also looking for sponsors of the event to help defray costs so more funds can go towards scholarships while also promoting your business. There are different levels of support available, if interested please contact Dave, see below.
Happy Riding,
Dave Hagen
