Iron Horse Bicycle Classic is Around the Corner

May has been amazing so far and it is about to get even sweeter in a few weeks when the Iron Horse Bicycle Classic rolls into town. This year’s event has plumped up by popular demand by adding a time trial in the animas valley on friday. Friday also brings the third annual Durango DEVO Velo Swap. Taking place at the fairgrounds, the Velo Swap will be at the same time and place as registration this year. That means 2500 people will be filtering through this communities used bicycle goods. IHBC has been donating the swap to DEVO since the beginning and has been great to us by becoming one of our biggest fundraisers of the year. The road race will return as usual and the criterium rounds out the weekend on sunday. Numbers have doubled for the crit this year due to the addition of the omnium scoring for those serious stage race race junkies. Props to IHBC for listening to the people and making the ever-changing weekend fresh as ever.
