Wednesday Jan 23, meeting at Rec Center, 6:30-8:30
DEVO needs to show up and save our sweet trail.
The San Juan Public Lands Center has scheduled several public meetings to allow the public to learn more about the recently released draft Land Management Plan guiding long-term management for some 2.4 million acres of Bureau of Land Management and National Forest lands in southwestern Colorado. The plan includes 55,000 acres of proposed Wilderness in the West Hermosa Creek Wilderness Area, a move that would close 20 miles of the Colorado Trail and shut off at least six other trails to mountain biking, including Corral Draw. The meeting will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2008, 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Community Recreation Center, 2700 Main Avenue in Durango.
